POTSA

Bottles known as potses or potillies were vessels utilised for the storage and serving of liquids (water, oil, wine, vinegar) at the table. These were typically made of glass and had a cylindrical or quadrilateral body (in the latter case they were known as potses tesserakantounes) thinning to a tall narrow tubular neck-spout. Bottles were usually imported to the island.
